What weāll explore together:
Youāll receive one email a day for five days with a video lesson guiding you through the different categories of mixed media art supplies and how to successfully use them!
Day 1: Painting tools
Letās begin with painting tools! Brushes for sure, but also some less conventional tools that can give you really yummy results.
Day 2: Acrylics
Acrylics are a big family and so great for mixed media: gel medium is perfect for layering collage, gesso is wonderful for white-on-white effects, while inks and paints bring the rainbow to your fingertips!
Day 3: Inks!
Inks are flowy, vibrant, translucent, and there are so many kinds (including some from the kitchen cupboard!)
Day 4: Pens, pencils, pastels etc.
Whether you want to scribble, write, add some shading or subtle color, pens, pencils, crayons and pastels are your best friends! Plus some of them react with water and other supplies for endless possibilitiesā¦
Day 5: Collage & texture
Iāve saved my favorite technique for last! Collage is just pure magic and the best ally to your imagination. In minutes, you can create an atmosphere, a color palette, a storyā¦ Then texture will take your art to a whole other dimension!
